New ceo appointed to drive Fleetwise forward

Independent fleet management company, Fleetwise, has appointed Ambrose Plaister to the role of chief executive officer.

Plaister joins Fleetwise after 14 years in the finance industry, recently leading the client servicing for a Sydney-based global investment manager.

Fleetwise director, Abby Davis, says Plaister brings a unique set of skills to the organisation and will provide valuable leadership and strategic direction across the entire business as it looks to further the growth of the last two decades.

“Our decision to remain independent from manufacturers and lease companies has been an active driver behind the business’s progression. We are currently at a point where we need the right person to seize and maximise on the opportunities that our unique positioning presents,” says Davis.

Plaister says he’s pleased to be back in New Zealand and looking forward to leading an innovative company with strong prospects for further advancement.

“Fleetwise has a history of providing customised technology and service solutions to fleets and, with the government’s new Electric Vehicles Programme and Health and Safety at Work Act, it’s an exciting time to be joining Fleetwise,” he says.

Plaister started in his new role as CEO at Fleetwise on July 4.
