Hyundai Ioniq EV will retail under $60k from March ’17
Hyundai New Zealand says it’s Ioniq EV hatch will be in local dealerships for sale in March 2017.
national sales manager Scott Billman confirmed this afternoon that the New Zealand distributor will launch the Ioniq EV and Ioniq Hybrid to media and dealers in early February 2017 in Queenstown.
Hyundai Ioniq EV hatches will be on sale in Kiwi dealerships from March 2017.
Range anxiety will not be an issue for the Ioniq EV owner says Billman.
He says its range vary from 175 to 225km. The Ioniq EV utilises type 2 charging connections.
Billman says a plug-in Hybrid version of the Ioniq hatch will follow much later as production ramps up in Korea.
No Ioniq hybrid hatch price has been confirmed yet by the distributor but the Ioniq EV will retail from $59,990.
