Electric cars to get motorway priority

The cars, including hybrids, would also be able to access other restricted roads, like bus lanes, Radio New Zealand reports.

The trial would take place over two weeks in March, on six T2 and truck lanes that bypass on-ramp traffic lights.
A sticker would identify the cars during the trial.
