More parking and EV charging at Sylvia Park

Among 600 newly opened car parks at Auckland’s Sylvia Park shopping centre are extra EV charging stations.
‘Carpark 2’ in a green building has seven TransNet NZ Wallbox charging stations on the ground floor.
It allows for further charging station expansion.
TransNet NZ says the Wallbox system has built-in load sharing and monitoring of all charge sessions so that Sylvia Park owners the Kiwi Property team can see how they are used and when it is the right time to expand.
The charging stations are all tethered to ensure quick and easy plug-in. It also makes it accessible to the many Nissan Leaf owners who don’t have a charge cable to plug into an untethered outlet.
Four type 1 charging stations and three type 2 feature.
Parking terms and time limits may apply, so Sylvia Park suggests visitors read all signs carefully.
