Electric car and bike win Consumer approval

The Nissan Leaf and an electric bike rate highly in a Consumer NZ review of 2018.

Consumer gave “honourable mention” to the Leaf.

“It cruised past the finish line as one of the most reliable vehicles on our roads,” Consumer says, adding 98% of owners in Consumer’s survey were very satisfied with this car.

Consumer also included the Specialized Turbo Vado 4.0 electric bike in its highlights for the year.

“Next time your partner tells you ‘on yer bike’ – you might want to go electric,” Consumer says. “Mountains become molehills when the Vado 4.0’s 250W Brose motor kicks in. Thanks to the bike’s 500Wh battery, our tester easily managed his 40km commute with plenty of charge to spare.”
