Polestar teases all-electric ‘2’

Volvo’s electric sub brand Polestar has teased its second vehicle, an all-electric model expected to be called the Polestar 2.
To enter production in 2020, the car will be the first full BEV from Volvo or Polestar, have a 480km range, have nearly 300kW of power, be a four-door fastback and be the first in the world to feature the new Google Android HMI system.
Interestingly they suggest it will be in the same price range as a Tesla Model 3.
CEO Thomas Ingenlath says they are not setting out to be a Tesla killer, but to compete with the US brand.
“We are not saying it’s a Tesla killer, we are here to vividly compete with them in the market.”
The brand’s first car will go into production later this year, a plug-in hybrid coupe called the Polestar 1.
