Terrific T-Tech Conference takes shape

If you’ve got an eye on the future of transport and it affects your business, then mark your calendar for T-Tech 2019 in May, and head to the ITSNZ website to register for Earlybird tickets.

T-Tech 2019 will feature one of New Zealand’s best presenters, Michelle Dickinson (aka Nanogirl), leading an exciting line-up of international and local speakers covering everything from micromobility, to AVs, EVs, mobility as a service and even drones.

The two-day programme will be filled with more than 30 speakers, a mix of government, experts, academia and innovators.

Attendees will come away with insights on disruptive new mobility solutions, business models and an update on government policies, projects and direction.

If you are interested in “last-mile” solutions that will help unlock public transport then you’ll be excited to hear that Horace Dediu, the world’s leading expert analyst on micromobility will be at T-Tech.

Dediu is the brains behind the hugely successful annual micromobility conferences in San Francisco, USA and also in Europe and is frequently interviewed by the world’s leading business and technology publications.

Expect updates on emerging technology, urban design and policy from Europe, USA and Australia, as well as information about the upcoming World Congress in Singapore later this year where we’ve teamed up with ITS Australia to create a significant presence promoting New Zealand.

The challenges we face today have taken on new urgency, with climate change driving an urgent need to address greenhouse gases from transport.

Urban intensification is happening across the world, including here in New Zealand.

It limits the potential for infrastructure to solve congestion and accelerates demand for new solutions in public transport, last mile solutions and micromobility.

The T-Tech Future Transport Conference is hosted by ITSNZ (Intelligent Transport Systems New Zealand) and so, as always, the focus is on solutions which will aim to make transport more sustainable, more efficient and safer for everyone.

For those that don’t already know about T-Tech, in 2018 ITS New Zealand launched a new brand for our annual summit.

T-Tech 2018 was a massive success, a full two days of informative presentations encompassing a range of technologies and technology-enabled transport and mobility solutions that will make up the transport ecosystem of the future.

This year, for the first time, the conference will be in Christchurch in its newly reopened town hall.
We’re excited to work with Christchurch, who’re committed to their Smart Cities programme and support the development and testing of innovative transport solutions.
