GVI Electric has taken delivery of 31 more second-hand Nissan Leafs this week.

The cars, all from Japan, arrived on the Sepang Express and were unloaded at Ports of Auckland and include a range of Generation 1 and Generation 2 Leafs from 2011-2017.

The delivery is part of GVI’s usual ongoing supply of 50-60 Nissan Leafs per month.

That is likely to increase as GVI is now supplying three sites, GVI general manager Hayden Johnston says.

He says their new Tauranga dealership is about to go live.

“It will be a GVI branded yard but with a heavy focus on EVs (80% EV and hybrid vs 20% petrol).

GVI is taking over the Sheaff Vehicles Mount Maunganui yard with the Sheaff family, Phil and son Mike, well respected in the Bay of Plenty and sharing similar customer-focused values to GVI.

Mike, who is passionate about EVs, will stay on as sales manager, Johnston says.
