Lime celebrates 50 million rides

Lime celebrates 50 million rides in less than two years.

According to global surveys conducted around 16 cities, approximately one out of every three trips on a Lime has replaced a ride that would have been made by car.

Lime estimated this has prevent about 24 million kilometres of car travel and 6220 metric tonnes of carbon emissions. Riders have saved nearly 700,000 gallons of gas, equivalent to taking 1320 vehicles off the road a year.

Lime says this achievement shows the need for innovative mobility solutions in our cities and the commitment of Lime riders to support accessible and sustainable transportation.

Lime operates in over 100 cities in over 20 countries across five continents.

A recent US study shows that 33% of Lime riders in the US identify as female and 36% identify as people of colour. This is an increase of 18% and 33% respectively compared to cycling statistics and national averages.

Lime reports more than one in three Lime riders report an annual household income of US $50,000 or less.
