Tritium and ChargeNet ensure charger safety

Tritium is working alongside ChargeNet NZ to ensure the circumstances which led to the Amberley EV charger incident cannot happen again.

A New Zealand-wide infield component replacement initiative has begun for all chargers which may be affected, they say.

Additional safety and monitoring mechanisms and support processes have been implemented with ChargeNet’s cooperation.

“Users of the ChargeNet fleet can be confident of the continued safe operation of all chargers in service.”

ChargeNet and Tritium also apologise for any inconvenience while this incident is swiftly addressed.

“We’re absolutely erring on the side of caution and working on it as fast and as safely as we can,” ChargeNet NZ public relations manager Dee West says.
