Jaguar Land Rover New Zealand has announced full local pricing for its all-new Range Rover, including the pricing for plug-in hybrid models, while also detailing three other new PHEVs that are set to arrive this year.

The Range Rover PHEV line-up is set to kick off with the P520e HSE, priced from $269,900. The $294,900 P510e Autobiography represents the plug-in mid-point. And the $359,900 P510e SV is the flagship.

Each model utilises a 3.0-litre straight six petrol engine mated to an 8-speed automatic and an electric motor, with overall power rated at 375kW. This is paired to a 38.2kWh battery, with JLR recently revising its pure electric range figure to 113km per charge, or 88km on the WLTP cycle.

This makes it one of the longest-range PHEVs on the market, reducing the need to rely on the attached internal combustion engine.

On top of the bevy of Range Rover announcement, Jaguar Land Rover New Zealand also confirmed an expanded plug-in line-ups for the Evoque and Velar, respectively.

The former gets one new PHEV option, the $117,900 R-Dynamic SE, and the latter gets two new new PHEV options, the $139,900 P400e R-Dynamic SE and the $149,900 P400e R-Dynamic HSE.

The pairing use 15kWh (Evoque) and 17.1kWh (Velar) batteries, respectively, with JLR claiming a range of 55km for the former and 53km for the latter.

The plug-in assault is part of a wider plan to introduce more electrified vehicles at JLR. The firm has already announced that a pure electric Range Rover is set to debut in 2024, with six other BEVs set to launch over the next five years.

“The new Range Rover is an evolution of flawless luxury and peerless character. The vehicle leads in a league of its own, with minimalist detailing creating a tranquil cabin of state-of-the-art technology and unmatched capability,” says Land Rover New Zealand CEO Steve Kenchington.

“The new Range Rover is undoubtedly the most desirable luxury SUV on the market – it writes the next chapter for this incredibly unique brand known for its pioneering excellence.

“The new Range Rover PHEV models are a great steppingstone option for those customers who may be hesitant about transitioning to EV.”

Kenchington adds that the new Range Rover is already something of a sales success well before its actual arrival, with the brand expecting that momentum to continue once it starts appearing in dealerships.

“Unsurprisingly, the new Range Rover broke a record with over 60 presales made just hours after its reveal to NZ customers – we expect this demand to skyrocket again when the vehicle launches in the country,” he adds.
