Electric Aston Martin expected in 2025
British premium brand Aston Martin could use Mercedes-Benz’s EQ electric division platform to make its first fully electric car by 2025, Australia’s Drive reports.

Aston Martin has earlier suggested a zero-emission SUV and sports car are likely.
“We have an electric car by 2025, but we haven’t announced what it is yet,” Aston Martin design head Marek Reichman told Drive.
He says the EV won’t be based on any Aston Martin vehicle previously released, telling Drive the company has access to the EQ platform, as Mercedes-Benz has a stake in the company, which may be an option for it.
Meanwhile, Aston Martin may revive its Lagonda luxury marque for the EV era.
An electric Lagonda SUV concept called the All-Terrain was revealed in 2019 but production plans were dropped.
Reichman told Drive a better EV is coming. although not immediately.
Aston Martin has already confirmed plans to offer 90% of its models as electrics by 2030 with the remaining 10% internal combustion engine (ICE) likely to be track-focused vehicles.
Forthcoming EVs will be displayed by Aston Martin Auckland, housed in the Giltrap Group’s showroom at 119 Great North Road, Grey Lynn.
“Aston Martin Auckland will continue to be home to the complete Aston Martin Lagonda range,” the group confirms.
