Hargadons head to EV shows in Europe
Hadley and Alana Hargadon of Auckland City Electric Vehicles are visiting EV-related shows in Germany and Britain next month.

They’ll be at ‘The Battery Show Europe’ expo and conference in Stuttgart (June 28-30) and the Vehicle Electrification Expo in Birmingham (June 29-30), spending about a day at the former then two days at the other.
The Battery Show Europe will include more than 480 exhibitors and at least 70 speakers, expected to be attended by about 6000 people learning the latest technologies and market innovations, the show including representatives from Volkswagen and Volvo Cars.
Birmingham covers four events in one, including a ‘Battery Cells and Systems Expo’, and an ‘Advanced Materials Show’ covering composites, polymers, graphene and 2D materials, ceramics and coatings.
The Hargadons intend filing a report on both events for EVs and Beyond, and Alana says they hope to catch up with the Better NZ Trust chair Kathryn Trounson in Birmingham.
Hadley says the show visits are mainly to keep up to date with EV related technology as he expects EV growth to be huge during the next two years.
