Mercury e-tuk tuks get the odd outing

Mercury electric tuk tuks won’t be roaming the Quay St area in Auckland for some time, as they used to in late summer 2021.

“However, we continue to bring them out from time to time (in and outside of Auckland) to encourage people to save their energy and spend it on wonderful (whatever that is to them),” says a Mercury spokesperson.

“People can follow us on Facebook and Instagram to find out when we’ll next be providing free e-tuk tuk rides at an event or location near them.”

The Auckland summer initiative was largely stymied by the COVID pandemic.
