‘Milky Way’ the car, not the chocolate bar
Zjiang Geely Holding Group (Geely) is reportedly launching yet another new energy vehicle (NEV) brand known as ‘Milky Way’ on February 23.
The first Milky Way vehicle is reportedly a five metre long executive electric sedan.
That’s according to the Car News China website which says it sourced the information from the Geely Weibo website.
It says the brand’s official international name is yet to be unveiled.
Milky Way will join the plethora of brands under Geely stewardship, which includes: Farizon Auto, Geely Auto, Geometry, Livan, Lotus Cars, London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC), Lynk & Co, Polestar, Proton Cars, Radar Auto, Smart, Volvo Cars and Zeekr.
Car News China believes that the Milky Way brand will complement the existing low-priced Livan vehicles, middle-priced Geometry and high-end Zeekr vehicles in the competitive domestic market.
