Entry-level Ioniq 6 priced under rebate threshold

Pricing for the all-electric Hyundai Ioniq 6 has been confirmed on the brand’s local website with the entry level car coming under the Clean Car rebate threshold of $80,000.

The 53 kWh Ioniq 6 two-wheel-drive has a retail price of $79,990 which provides buyers with a rebate of $8625 according to the Hyundai New Zealand website.

Next up is the 77.4 kWh two-wheel-drive model priced from $94,990, and the same powertrain combination in the higher Elite grade specification is priced from $104,990.

The flagship of the Ioniq 6 range in New Zealand is the 77.4 kWh Limited all-wheel-drive model which is priced from $124,990.

The mid-size Ioniq 6 is the first sedan built on the Electrified-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), which brings 800V architecture and the capability for rapid charging from 10 to 80% in as little as 18 minutes.

Hyundai says the efficiency in the Ioniq 6, and battery range of up to 614km, is achieved through advanced powertrain technology, with the benefit of numerous aerodynamic styling choices in a streamliner design – for an low aerodynamic 0.21 coefficient of drag.
