ACEV sold
Entrepreneur, investor and business adviser Greg Larsen is one of two new owners of Auckland City Electric Vehicles (ACEV).
The other owner is Nick Jackson, the deal apparently sealed last week with Hadley and Alana Hargadon and Alana’s dad Allan Clarke of Allan Clarke Motors Albany fame, who backed ACEV.
It’s understood Hadley and Alana are moving to Christchurch which Hadley is familiar with.
The new ACEV owners were introduced in a letter to suppliers dated March 17 this year.
In the letter, the Hargadons say they intend staying on during the five-week transition to “ensure a smooth handover of the business” and they thank suppliers for their support.
Larsen has extensive experience in the automotive industry, having once worked for Jerry Clayton BMW Takapuna which is now Continental Cars BMW.
The Hargadons have featured extensively in EVs and Beyond after first establishing ACEV in 2018, moving into new premises about a year later.
We’ll have more information next week.
