E-mobility included in second Auckland harbour crossing starting in six years

A second Auckland harbour crossing – whether tunnel or bridge – will start construction in 2029 and cater for e-mobility.

Prime minister Chris Hipkins announced the earlier time frame for a second crossing at an Auckland briefing on March 30, adding it brings the date forward 11 years, while transport minister Michael Wood reveals five scenarios which include e-mobility.
