‘Ugly’ early EV donated to Geraldine museum

Kiwi-EV-1-688×387-1

A “1970” Kiwi-made EV has been donated to the Geraldine Vintage Car and Machinery Museum which is restoring it.

It’s been called “the ugliest car in the world” by one of the team working on it, Stuff reports.

The unnamed EV, reportedly one of up to 10 built, has lightning bolts on its bonnet and doors and was donated to the museum by an anonymous South Canterbury resident who bought it off Trade Me for $10,150 in April 2022.

The Kiwi EV is expected to be ready for the museum’s “Crank Up!” day on October 29.
