Used PHEV CO2 methodology changed

Methodology used in calculating CO2 emissions for used imported plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) has been corrected by Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency following Imported Motor Vehicle Industry Association (VIA) representations.

So says VIA which suggests dealers go to the NZTA’s Fuelsaver website for more information and to reprint the fuel label for any used, unregistered PHEVs they have on the yard.

VIA adds that the system will automatically update the Clean Car Discount (CCD) rebate eligibility for the vehicle(s).

“All future imports will benefit with both rebates under the CCD and CO2 credits under the CCS,” VIA explains.
