Tributes flow for vehicle designer

Geely Holding, Ford and other automotive companies and representatives are paying tribute to designer Peter Horbury who died aged 73 while travelling in China.

Horbury was the company’s former design executive vice president and as Lotus design senior vice president was overseeing a range of EVs like the Lotus Eletre SUV.

During nearly 50 years in the automotive industry, Horbury was involved in London taxi electrification, motorcycles like Triumph, buses, vans, and he helped transform Volvo’s “boxy” 1970s and 1980s designs.
