OMODA BEV C5 SUV coming
OMODA New Zealand confirms it will launch its C5 SUV in the first half of 2024 with a C5 battery electric vehicle (BEV) as well as internal combustion engine (ICE) models.
No official specification for the New Zealand bound BEV has yet been released but OMODA did present the car at the Shanghai motor show in May with a 61kWh battery pack, 450km range and a 35-minute 10% to 80% charging time.
OMODA says the C5 SUV is equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) which has 17 functions including ACC adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and autonomous emergency braking.
It says the C5 SUV models also feature advanced LED lighting, including an adaptive lighting system as standard. Infotainment and vehicle display functions are provided by dual 10.25-inch screens.
The OMODA intelligent voice command system allows personalisation of the on-board AI system according to OMODA New Zealand country manager Sheldon Humphries.
For those seeking a more sporty and premium SUV, he says the Premium trim variant also offers additional features such as a leather steering wheel, a power sunroof, heated steering wheel, heated front seats, red brake callipers and 18-inch alloy wheels – to name a few.
The OMODA New Zealand website is currently in development. However, to keep up to date with any information there is an OMODA New Zealand Facebook page or OMODANZ for LinkedIn and Instagram pages.
