Watts up at COP28
New climate change minister Simon Watts and Green Party co-leader and former climate change minister James Shaw are attending the United Nations climate change conference in Dubai November 30 to December 12.
Renewable energy is a key topic for the summit, which is expected to consider trebling global renewable energy capacity (especially from wind and solar) by 2030.
New Zealand is likely to support a global phase-out of fossil fuels and transition to renewables, especially around transport.
