About 40,629 customers received their new electric Porsche Taycan last year (up 17%).

The sports car brand reports the Taycan’s popularity amid stable sales last year, delivering a total 320,221 cars – 3% more than 2022.

Porsche also had its 911 record the biggest rise of all model lines – 24%, with 50,146 customers getting the 911 last year.

The Cayenne SUV (including the E-Hybrid variant) had the highest deliveries with 87,553 customers getting it last year (down 8%), the decline explained by the model change – including the staggered launch of the new generation worldwide since the market launch in April, as well as a software update for hybrid models, says Porsche.

“Even in times of global economic uncertainty, our brand remains desirable and exclusive,” says Porsche AG sales and marketing executive board member Detlev von Platen, who predicts this year will be “challenging”.

“Last year we benefited in particular from Porsche’s very balanced position in its largest sales regions. We will continue to optimise this harmonious market distribution.”

The Porsche Macan was delivered to 87,355 customers and thereby remains at the previous year’s level, with the new Macan electric nearly ready for its world premiere in 2024.

“We’re laying the groundwork for the future and are updating four out of six model series,” says von Platen, adding Porsche will continue to balance its sales structure and strengthen its overseas regions, “particularly in the ASEAN markets”.
