Video: Where the Wild Wolves Roam

Embarking on a self-funded passion project Joe Flannery and Kyle Lancaster from Where the Wild Roam ride their quiet electric UBCO 2×2 bikes for their conservation show, especially during the filming of their Where the Wild Wolves Roam in their Wolf Country series.

Wolves’ summer roaming range can cover more than 647 square kilometres, so the pair use the UBCO bikes to sneak up while carrying video equipment, wildlife camera traps, and safety gear through the Californian backcountry.

Flannery says they’ve had a lot of help from UBCO, hauling their gear over rugged roads and trails, allowing them to streamline production, tell more stories and have more of a conservation impact.

“The utility and power from dual wheel drive allowed us to easily and comfortably access high points for glassing and within the first field day we completely trusted the bikes with all our delicate and expensive equipment mile after mile deep in the backcountry.”

The electric bikes’ quietness limits sound disturbance for others enjoying the same outdoor locations they’re filming in, as well as limiting sound disturbance to wildlife.
