Further discounts for Volkswagen ID.4 and ID.5
Volkswagen New Zealand has announced further discounts on the list prices for its ID.4 and ID.5 on its website with one model now retailing for $20,000 less than the manufacturer’s selling price (MSP) announced in September 2022.
Since the end of the Clean Car Discount at the beginning of the year, EV sales have shrunk, and the brand needs to move stock.
The ID.4 Pro is now priced at $59,990 and the ID.5 Pro is now priced at $67,490, from the 2023 MSP of $74,990, and those prices will remain in play while stocks last according to the website.
The ID.5 Pro+ is now priced at $88,490.
This means the ID.4 Pro costs $20,000 less than its original MSP of $79,990 announced in September 2022.
The ID.5 Pro costs $17,960 less than its September 2022 MSP of $85,450, and the ID.5 Pro Plus costs $6000 less than its September 2022 MSP of $94,490.
The new promotion follows a marketing call to action last year when the brand was offering a $7000 discount on the ID range models in exchange for an electric appliance which would be donated to charity.
According to Stuff, Volkswagen New Zealand has confirmed that it won’t be importing the ID.7 sedan and wagon, and the ID.5 will also be dropped from the line-up once the current inventory is cleared.
But it says Volkswagen New Zealand will continue to market the ID.4 and the forthcoming ID.3.
