Nissan and Acciona partner for Silence nanocars and e-motorcycles
Nissan will distribute electric Silence Nano S04 and e-motorcycles through retail partners in France and Italy from June, and Germany from September 2024.
The new partnership between Nissan and Acciona’s car manufacturer Silence – a European brand of electric micro-mobility vehicles designed for cleaner, smarter, more flexible city living – follows the launch of Nissan’s new business plan The Arc targeting growth and competitiveness.
Under this new partnership, Nissan will hold distribution rights for the Silence product range, including Silence S04 quadricycle vehicles and electric motorcycles, through its extensive retail network across Europe.
The S04 Nanocar is engineered for agility in bustling city environments, the lightweight EV offered in two variants, the L6e and L7e.
Each variant boasts a strong electric-powered range from 149km (L7e) to 175km (L6e), with top speeds reaching 45km/h (L6e) and 85km/h (L7e).
Powered by two 5.6kWh batteries, it offers quick, simple, convenient charging options, including direct charging, battery swapping at dedicated stations (available with subscription), and home or office charging through a removable battery pack.
The S04 Nanocar also offers the My Silence app – a one-stop-shop for any owners’ needs at the touch of a button.
“We believe the future is electric…but to make that future a reality we have to do more to make it as inclusive as possible, available to all,” says Nissan AMIEO (Africa, Middle East, India, Europe and Oceania) marketing and sales senior vice president Leon Dorssers.
“Through this significant new partnership with Acciona, we’re ensuring that many more people can experience the power and excitement of electric mobility and take the first step on their EV journey.
“Opening access to Silence’s diverse range of brilliant, alternative products creates new and exciting possibilities for customers who are eager to join the EV revolution – combining clean mobility with cutting-edge technology, in functional and flexible vehicles.”

Acciona’s mobility business and Silence chief executive Carlos Sotelo says the drivers’ needs in today’s towns and cities are changing.
“To respond to this, we need to think smarter, smaller and lighter.
“Silence’s light electric vehicles partnered with Nissan’s strong distribution network offers new, exciting, and clever options for urban mobility in Europe, shaping a more sustainable future.”
Nissan and its retail partners will offer a range of finance, servicing and insurance options available progressively from launch.
