E-Mobility Summit sets programme

NZ Electro Mobility Summit 2024

The New Zealand Electro Mobility Summit on October 16 and 17 at the Auckland Showgrounds organised by Brightstar features the present landscape and future of e-mobility and decarbonised transport here and overseas.

The agenda has a suite of topical sessions, including exploring increasing options for light and heavy commercial vehicles, and hearing the latest insights and data into transport emissions reduction at a business and local level.

The e-mobility event includes EV battery recycling and end-of-life options with Infinitev NZ branch manager Graeme Cochrane discussing EV batteries’ lifespan and disposal (plus battery materials), suggestions by the Battery Industry Group (BIG), an EV manufacturers’ panel (BYD Auto NZ country manager Warren Willmot, Ford Motor Company of NZ EV product manager Max Zapryagaev, Hyundai New Zealand aftersales manager Gavin Young) considering e-mobility’s future, innovations, EV models and features, what EVs are coming to New Zealand, utes and rural sector vehicles, and autonomous vehicles (AVs).

Hyundai New Zealand hydrogen and eco commercial vehicles manager Grant Doull will also speak in a panel session on Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) backed decarbonisation, comparing hydrogen and EV trucks.
