Porsche Taycan man to take new role

Porsche Korea chief executive Holger Gerrmann takes on a new role as Porsche Schweiz AG (Porsche Switzerland AG) chief executive, starting October.

Gerrmann is known for launching the brand’s first EV the Taycan in the market after joining in 2019.

During his tenure, Porsche Korea has achieved significant growth by more than doubling its sales volume, expanded its network by opening new service centres, Porsche Studios, and Porsche Now pop-up stores, thereby strengthening Porsche’s distinctive sports car brand image in Korea, says Porsche.

Mathias Busse, 49, becomes Porsche Korea chief executive on October 1 this year.

He held a variety of management positions within the automotive industry in Germany and Asia over 25 years.

Since early 2022, he has been Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles senior director for the German market.

Meanwhile, the Taycan Turbo K-Edition marking Porsche Korea’s 10th anniversary features in “The Art of Dreams”, Seoul, during September.
