Kia reveals new concepts at APAC EV Day
Following the global Kia EV Day in 2023, Kia’s Asia Pacific distributors gathered in Taiwan on November 21, 2024, for the first regional Kia EV Day.
The event was anchored by the first viewing of the Kia EV3 in Asia Pacific, which will be launched in selected APAC countries in 2025.
Kia also displayed the new Concept PV5 and Concept EV4 at the regional EV day.

“Our inaugural Asia Pacific region EV Day is a testament to Kia’s dedication to sustainable mobility and our commitment to driving the EV revolution forward,” said Ki Seok Ahn, President & CEO of Kia Asia Pacific HQ.
“We are excited to have shared our vision and innovations with our valued partners and stakeholders across the APAC region.”
The event’s highlight was a closer look at the Kia EV3, which brings innovative technology from the EV9 SUV and sets new standards in the compact EV SUV segment. Designed with all the innovation and technology of the previous Kia EVs, the EV3 is primed to tap into the demand for an entry-level compact EV SUV.
The EV3 will be sold in selected Asia Pacific countries in 2025. Its goal is to enhance EV accessibility and accelerate Kia’s transition into a sustainable mobility provider. Adopting the Opposites United design philosophy, the EV3 features boxy rear fenders, a sloping roofline, and a robust stance.
The EV3 is built on the Electric Global Modular Platform and features Electric Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control (eDTVC) for optimum traction. The vehicle also includes various advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Highway Driving Assist, Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Remote Smart Parking Assist.
Kia also presented the Concept EV4 and, for the first time in the region, the Concept PV5. The Concept EV4 represents the purity of the ‘Power to Progress’ pillar of the ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. It presents a striking silhouette and spacious, driver-centric design, delivering an entirely new type of EV sedan.
The PV5 Concept is Kia’s first dedicated Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV). It goes beyond traditional vehicles to provide a total mobility solution.
Designed for diversity, the PV5 is simple yet delivers a multipurpose, customisable model for ride-hailing, logistics, or personal lifestyle activities.
