Mahindra BE 6e EV launched
The Mahindra BE 6e electric coupe SUV has been launched in India with deliveries likely to start early next year and to later include global markets.
Evo India reports the Mahindra BE 6e gets two battery pack options — 79kWh and 59kWh.
“It’s an electric coupe SUV that blends futuristic design, advanced technology, and impressive performance.
“The cabin features a panoramic infinity glass roof, 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a floating HUD (head-up display), and twin screens.
“The INGLO platform gets a RWD (rear-wheel) drivetrain with 282bhp (210kW), 380Nm torque and offers up to 656km range (about 500km real world). It will rival the likes of the Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Tata Curvv EV, and the Mercedes-Benz EQA.”
Evo India says the front fascia gets bi-LED headlamps with C-shaped DRLs, C-shaped LED tail lamps, 45-litre frunk storage and 455-litre boot capacity
“Its aerodynamic profile is accentuated by a floating front spoiler, a sloping roofline, and an optimised two-part rear spoiler.
“It rides on 18-inch aero wheels, gets a 207mm ground clearance, and a 2775mm wheelbase.
The Mahindra BE 6e has an aircraft inspired thruster-like gear lever and rocker switches, seven airbags, and a structure aimed at getting a five-star crash safety rating.
“Advanced connectivity is powered by MAIA, Mahindra’s AI architecture, running on Qualcomm hardware with 24GB RAM and 128GB storage. Unique features include in-car Zoom call capability, selfie cameras with filters, and Level 2+ ADAS functionality, including driver-initiated auto lane change with just an indicator signal.”
Fast charging from 20% to 80% is possible in 20 minutes using a 175kW fast charger, says evo India.
The Mahindra BE 6e can go from zero to100kmph in 6.7 seconds and gets four driving modes – Boost, Race, Everyday, and Range.
Mahindra is reportedly ready to launch four new electric SUVs in India in 2025, with three of them based on the INGLO electric platform.
It will launch the XUV e8-based seven-seat electric SUV in early 2025 with production likely to start in December 2024.
The XUV e9 SUV coupe will be launched in India by mid-2025, both also expected here.
