Armin Guttke new ITSNZ chair and president
Armin Guttke has been appointed chair and president of Intelligent Transport Systems New Zealand (ITSNZ).
He succeeds Mike Rudge who left ITSNZ in November to join the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) board after six years as a director including four as chair.
Guttke brings more than 20 years of leadership experience with a well-developed appreciation of technology, business, and the political challenges facing New Zealand’s transport sector.
He has been an ITSNZ board director for more than four years, with key responsibilities for member engagement, promotion, and advocacy.
His experience in stakeholder engagement, strategic thinking, policy and advocacy will provide important governance and stewardship capability, says ITSNZ.
“I will continue working with the ITS New Zealand board as well as our members to ensure we deliver on strategic and policy actions that achieve our long term objectives in supporting a more efficient, sustainable, inclusive, and safer transport system for New Zealand,” says Guttke.
