Kia on Hurricanes away jersey again
Kia retains its name on the front of the Hurricanes away jersey after reaffirming its commitment to the Super Rugby Pacific franchise, announcing a contract extension for the next two seasons.
The Hurricanes begin their season in Christchurch against the Crusaders on February 14, 2025.
“2025 is a significant milestone in the partnership as it marks the 10th year of Kia’s involvement with the team,” says Kia New Zealand managing director Todd McDonald, pictured with Hurricanes chief executive Avan Lee.
“It was an innovative sponsorship when launched as Kia was the first standalone away jersey sponsor amongst all Super Rugby franchises,” he says.
“From small beginnings it has grown to become a pivotal association within our local sponsorship portfolio.
“Both organisations share a future vision of sustainability and innovation, so there are many strong synergies both on and off the field.”
