Evnex appoints Matt Heggie as chief sales officer

Evnex All Energy

New Zealand-based smart EV charger manufacturer Evnex has appointed Matt Heggie as chief sales officer as the company focuses on its Australian growth strategy.

Heggie brings two decades of automotive industry expertise and 15 years of sales leadership to drive Evnex’s expansion across Australia and New Zealand.

“I am thrilled to join Evnex at such an exciting time in the EV market,” Heggie says.

“Interest in electric vehicles is growing thanks to more affordable models and new segments previously out of reach for many buyers. Improved batteries now offer a significantly increased range, and this progress underscores the importance of effective and efficient battery charging solutions.”

Heggie will be based between Melbourne and Sydney and will step into the role as Evnex expands its Australian market. He says his values align with Evnex’s mission to deliver clean, efficient, and reliable energy solutions to EV drivers.

“Evnex is a standout in this space, thanks to its exceptional product development and design,” Heggie says.

“Our chargers are specifically designed to provide clean and efficient energy to electric vehicles, meeting the needs of today’s EV drivers.”

Evnex chief executive Ed Harvey says Heggie’s extensive experience in the automotive sector positions him as a key leader in advancing Evnex’s growth.

“We’re pleased to have Matt joining the team,” Harvey says.

“Evnex is well positioned to grow across Australia, and Matt’s expertise will support our ambition to become the preferred charger choice for EV drivers across Australia and New Zealand,” he says

Installing an Evnex charger for motorists has clear benefits, particularly for those driving longer distances. An Evnex charger delivers around 50km of range per hour, at least four times faster than a 3-pin plug, and safety is improved with every charger having its dedicated feed from the switchboard.

Evnex smart chargers are New Zealand-made and feature locally sourced components and assembly.
