Tesla Cybertruck on show in Auckland

A Tesla Cybertruck Foundation Edition is on display at Tesla Auckland South until the end of February before being shown at malls such as Sylvia Park (March 3), Westfield Albany (March 10) and St Lukes (March 17).

We’ve asked Tesla for more information and will update the story as we get it, reporting a Cybertruck was seen earlier in Auckland and that a “Down Under” tour was planned.

The Cybertruck has been touring Australia and could eventually be produced in right-hand drive for the two markets, although the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) had some safety concerns about it, especially around pedestrians and cyclists, in 2019.

Tesla Australia and New Zealand senior marketing manager Kevin Goult confirms the Cybertruck is in New Zealand for display purposes and will be on show at Tesla Stores as it was in Australia.

A Tesla Cybertruck was also at the Southern Hemisphere Proving Grounds in Cardrona in 2023.
