Orders open for 2025 Cadillac Lyriq EV in New Zealand
General Motors Australia and New Zealand have officially opened orders for the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq EV, available in Luxury and Sport grades.
GM ANZ says the Lyriq delivers a warranty and charging package to provide peace of mind.
Along with a five-year unlimited-kilometre factory vehicle warranty, a five-year roadside assistance package and a five-year complimentary scheduled servicing program, the Lyriq’s GM battery technology is also covered by an eight-year/160,000km Electric Vehicle Propulsion Battery Warranty.
To enhance the ownership experience, Cadillac has partnered with ChargeNet to offer customers a $400 charging credit with every Lyriq purchase.
ChargeNet is powering New Zealand’s EV future. It provides drivers access to 450 charging points nationwide, from Cape Reinga to Bluff.
Cadillac has also partnered with Evnex to supply customers with premium New Zealand-made home chargers. Evnex shares Cadillac’s commitment to providing customers with world-leading technology and design, allowing them to charge at home comfortably and with a minor possible impact on the grid and our environment.
Customers who purchase a new Lyriq before March 31, 2025, can have the New Zealand-made Evnex E2 — a 7.4kW single-phase home charger — installed at their home free of charge. Customers with a home charger can increase their charging credit from $400 to $1200.
“The Cadillac Lyriq isn’t just a game-changing vehicle to drive, it’s a game-changing vehicle to own, too,” GM Australia and New Zealand managing director Jess Bala says.
“With GM’s innovative battery technology and impressive driving range, it’s a vehicle ready to explore New Zealand, and we wanted to design an ownership package that would help you do that, whether you’re charging at home or taking advantage of the country’s expanding charging infrastructure.
“The Lyriq is the dawn of a new era for Cadillac, and its refined luxury, spirited performance and elegant design lead the way for the brand’s exciting future in New Zealand,” she says.
Finance made easy
Cadillac is partnering with MTF as its exclusive vehicle finance provider in New Zealand.
For Cadillac customers, MTF offers an entirely digital finance journey, ensuring a seamless and convenient experience supported by its New Zealand-based team. This embodies MTF’s customer promise of “people helping people,” giving customers the flexibility to connect and manage their loans in a way that suits them.
Two luxurious options
The Lyriq’s trim level choices focus mainly on the aesthetic signature rather than significant equipment changes in two grades, one impressive vehicle. Luxury models are crafted for a sophisticated journey, while Sport variants are designed for expressive power and presence.
As such, the Lyriq Luxury features subtle chrome highlights that hint at understated elegance, while the Sport models feature a darker, more purposeful motif. These include a different grille treatment with a dark grille-bar finish, unique wheels with dark inserts, obsidian chrome finishes, dark accents on the front and rear fascia, windows, bodyside mouldings, and body-colour door handles.
Exterior features standard to both models include a Black Crystal front grille, a dual-panel power sunroof, a Hands-Free Liftgate that opens and closes with programmable memory height, and a Cadillac-branded projection light.
Inside, the Lyriq is a luxurious escape. The front seats offer heating, ventilation, and a lumbar massage function, and the AKG Studio 19-speaker stereo system includes front-row headrest speakers.
Not only is the AKG Studio system the perfect pairing for the Lyriq’s infotainment system, which is controlled through a 33-inch diagonal advanced LED display, but it also pairs with the Active Noise Cancellation system, which actively monitors road noise inputs and uses the 19-speaker sound system to mitigate road-induced noise.
The two Lyriq variants share the same twin-motor AWD powertrain (388kW,610Nm) and a GM 102kWh battery. Between charges, the battery delivers a driving range of 530 km. A fast charge can provide up to 131km range in 10 minutes.
