Stellantis and IVECO partner on electric vans

IVECO has signed a major agreement with Stellantis’ commercial vehicles business unit, Pro One, for the supply of two new all-electric light commercial vehicles (LCVs) to be sold under the IVECO brand across the European market.

The partnership aims to expand IVECO’s battery-electric vehicle lineup and strengthen its presence in the growing segment of sustainable transport solutions.

The newly signed deal will see Stellantis Pro One manufacture the electric vans at its plants in Atessa (Italy), Gliwice (Poland), and Hordain (France). The vehicles will then be distributed by IVECO across Europe, including the United Kingdom, via its established sales and service network.

The new IVECO-branded vans will be based on Stellantis Pro One’s mid-size and large van all-electric platforms, covering a gross vehicle weight (GVW) range from 2.8 to 4.25 tonnes. The addition of these vehicles will complement IVECO’s existing electric portfolio, particularly the eDaily, which is produced at IVECO’s historic Suzzara plant in Italy and electrified at its Brescia facility.

IVECO and Stellantis Pro One expect commercial sales of the new electric vans to begin by mid-2026, with the agreement spanning a ten-year supply period. The move underscores both companies’ commitment to long-term sustainable mobility and carbon emission reduction.

IVECO’s president of the truck business unit, Luca Sra, highlighted the strategic significance of the partnership:

“We are excited to add two innovative and versatile battery-electric vans to our light commercial vehicle lineup, boosting our competitiveness in the van segment.

“By choosing to partner with Stellantis Pro One, we are leveraging the extensive know-how and strong presence in Italy and Europe that historically tie our companies. I am confident that this winning collaboration will benefit our European customers, in particular for the success of their last-mile logistics businesses.”

Jean Philippe Imparato, chief operating officer of Stellantis for Enlarged Europe, emphasised the leadership of both firms in the electric commercial vehicle market.

“We are proud to collaborate with an Italian and world-leading company like IVECO, and this happened because we are European LCV market leaders thanks to our operational excellence, the quality of our products, and our ability to develop battery drive technology, which helps reduce polluting emissions and protect the environment.”
