MG Motor adds rear-wheel drive Cyberster to local line-up

BLUE CYBERSTER

MG Motor New Zealand has added a 77kWh rear-wheel drive version of the Cyberster sports car to the local line up.

It will be priced from $109,000, some $20,000 less than the 77kWh all-wheel drive version which arrived in 2024.

Built on the same platform as the MG4, the brand says the Cyberster showcases modern EV performance while leading it into the future.

“The Cyberster is a beautiful testament to the history and the future of MG. The design is magnificent, and the thrill of driving the Cyberster with the top down is amazing. The design team created a work of art that captures the eye of everyone,” MG Motor Australia and New Zealand chief executive Peter Ciao says.

“We are excited to launch an additional variant in Australia. MG fans have asked for the rear-wheel-drive model, and we’re excited to now be able to deliver this model. The rear-wheel-drive performance and handling will thrill motorists, with amazing power delivered. You’ll love the feeling of driving the Cyberster,” he says.

An additional colour is now available in the range, Mayfair Blue as seen on the Cyberster above will be available in all variants.
