Chery’s electrified push powers record run
Chery’s new-energy vehicle (NEV) sales have surged 77.1% this year to 587,545, with more than three-quarters of the brand’s 2025 launches electrified — including Tiggo 7, 8 and 9 Super Hybrids rolling into global markets. In September alone, Chery sold 91,590 NEVs, up 55.4% year on year.
The electrified momentum sits behind a record nine-month result: 2,007,768 vehicles sold in the first three quarters of 2025, up 14.5%. September deliveries totalled 280,469 (+14.7%).
Exports remain a pillar, with 137,624 vehicles shipped in September — the fifth straight month above 100,000 — and 936,428 year to date. European sales more than doubled, led by Poland, Greece and Romania.
Chery also ticked off corporate milestones including a Hong Kong Stock Exchange listing on September 25 (the year’s largest automotive IPO), a climb to 233rd on the Fortune Global 500, and a user base of 17.7 million worldwide (including 5.4 million overseas).
The company says its vehicles have earned 51 five-star safety ratings globally, while its robotics arm achieved a world-first with “Mornine,” a humanoid certified under EU machinery, radio and cybersecurity standards.
