Mitsubishi to unveil electrified crossover concept at Japan Mobility Show

image

Mitsubishi Motors will stage the world premiere of an electrified crossover SUV concept at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, opening in Tokyo later this month.

The concept is pitched as an urban-meets-outdoors crossover with smooth, seamless styling and a cabin designed for “quality time” on board.

Mitsubishi says the spacious interior can convert into a luxurious in-car sleeping environment, turning destinations into a “glamping retreat”. It pairs the brand’s electrification and all-wheel control technologies for strong performance and a comfortable ride on rough terrain, with personalisation features tailored to different lifestyles.

Mitsubishi’s stand, themed “Forever Adventure,” will recreate a desert landscape and build an immersive experience “to engage all five senses.”

Visitors will be able to watch themselves “riding” in the concept via an interactive Drive Your Future installation; listen to narrated “My Adventure Stories” built around Delica D:5, Delica Mini, Outlander PHEV and Triton, using authentic vehicle sounds; and hear a My Adventure Playlist of music from past Mitsubishi TV ads alongside customer memories. Brand character Deli Maru appears as a robot greeter, and a smartphone digital stamp rally offers a small commemorative gift for those who find hidden Deli Maru icons around the booth.

The display will also feature the Delica Mini, eK Space, Outlander PHEV, Delica D:5 and the Triton rally truck that won the 2025 Asia Cross Country Rally.
