Polestar posts record retail sales in 2025
Electric vehicle maker Polestar has reported its strongest retail sales year on record, delivering 60,119 vehicles globally in 2025, up 34% on the previous year.
The result includes an estimated 15,608 vehicles sold in the fourth quarter of 2025, a 27% increase compared with the same period in 2024.
Polestar chief executive Michael Lohscheller says the result was achieved despite ongoing market challenges.
“For retail sales volumes, 2025 has been the best year ever for Polestar, despite continued external headwinds and challenging market conditions.
“We are gaining market share and outselling many established car brands across key European markets, a testament to the expansion of our sales network, which has grown by over 50 per cent this year, our attractive model line-up and the team’s hard work,” Lohscheller says.
Full-year retail sales rose from 44,851 vehicles in 2024 to 60,119 in 2025, while fourth-quarter sales increased from 12,256 to 15,608 vehicles year-on-year.
Polestar says it will host a strategy update on February 18, covering key product developments and its financial outlook. The update will be livestreamed and made available via the company’s investor relations channels.
