Dongfeng expands NZ dealer network
Chinese electric vehicle brand Dongfeng plans to expand its New Zealand dealer network to seven retail locations by the end of this month, as it rolls out two new models locally.
The brand is currently sold through Armstrong’s dealerships in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
New retail partners Takanini Auto Group, Auckland Auto Group in Albany, Waikato Auto Group in Hamilton and Tauranga Motor Group are set to join the network next month.

The expansion coincides with the New Zealand launch of two additional Dongfeng models, taking the local line-up to three.
Armstrong’s says the Vigo compact SUV, priced from $37,990, is the “best value EV” in New Zealand.
The Vigo is powered by a 51kWh battery offering up to 310km of driving range under WLTP testing. It has a listed maximum DC charging rate of 167kW, allowing a 30 to 80% charge in 18 minutes.
Joining the Vigo is the 007 sedan, available in long-range rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive performance variants.
Priced from $54,990, the 007 Long Range offers up to 520km of range on a single charge, while the $59,990 007 Performance model can accelerate from 0–100km/h in under four seconds.
The Box hatchback, priced from $29,990, rounds out the range.
All three models are available now through Dongfeng retailers nationwide.
