MG New Zealand confirms pricing for updated MG4 EV range

MG New Zealand has announced pricing and specifications for the updated MY26 MG4 EV range, with prices starting from $44,990.

The entry-level MG4 Essence 64 uses a rear-mounted electric motor producing 140kW and 350Nm, paired with a 64kWh battery offering up to 452km of WLTP driving range.

MG says the model can charge from 10% to 80% in around 25 minutes using a DC fast charger.

At the top of the range is the all-wheel-drive MG4 XPower, priced from $55,990.

The XPower adds a second electric motor on the front axle, producing combined outputs of 320kW and up to 600Nm.

MG says the performance flagship can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds, while offering a WLTP driving range of around 400km from the same 64kWh battery pack.

Inside, the MG4 range features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

MG New Zealand says the MG4 range is covered by a 10-year warranty when serviced through the company’s dealer network.
