Honda Super One EV gets Mugen makeover
Honda’s upcoming Super One EV has received an aggressive styling makeover from Mugen, with the Japanese tuning specialist unveiling a wide-body package inspired by the boxy performance cars of the past.
The most noticeable changes are the enlarged front and rear fenders, which extend further than the standard Super One bodywork and push the wheels outward for a broader stance. Vented front guards and extended bumpers add to the more aggressive appearance, while prominent Mugen branding features on the front fascia.
At the rear, the package includes a small diffuser, along with a carbon-fibre rear wing. Other exterior upgrades include new 16-inch alloy wheels and a fibreglass bonnet featuring a power dome.
Inside, the Super One swaps its standard seats for blue denim-coloured Recaro seats and gains a new steering wheel.
Mugen says the Recaro seats are not currently included as part of the package, but the remainder of the kit is priced at around NZ$15,000 in Japan.
The Honda Super One EV is expected to arrive in New Zealand, with pricing tipped to be around the $40,000 mark. That means the Mugen package would add a significant premium to the vehicle’s purchase price.
