Leaked sketches preview Lucid’s upcoming Cosmos SUV
Sketches of Lucid’s upcoming Cosmos electric SUV have been leaked online, offering an early look at the American EV maker’s new midsize model.
The Cosmos is expected to sit below the flagship Lucid Gravity in the brand’s line-up and share several of its design cues, including a sleek roofline and aerodynamic styling.
Based on the leaked images, the SUV appears similar in size and proportion to other midsize electric SUVs currently entering the market.
The Cosmos is expected to be built on Lucid’s new Atlas 800 platform, which is also tipped to underpin two additional future models.
While technical specifications have yet to be confirmed, Lucid has previously indicated the range-topping Cosmos variant will be capable of accelerating from 0-100km/h in around 3.5 seconds.

The vehicle shown in the leaked sketches is believed to be a performance-focused version, based on its aggressive styling and large alloy wheels.
The Cosmos is expected to compete in the same segment as the Tesla Model Y and other premium midsize electric SUVs.
Lucid has not confirmed plans for New Zealand or Australia, but the company recently announced an expansion into the United Kingdom, meaning future models will be available in right-hand drive.
The move could make it easier for Lucid to enter Australasian markets in the future, although no local launch plans have been announced.
Lucid is best known for its Air luxury sedan and Gravity SUV, both of which have been developed to compete with premium electric vehicles from Tesla, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
