Skoda unveils seven-seat Peaq EV with up to 630km range
Skoda has revealed its new flagship electric SUV, the Peaq, a seven-seat model that will sit at the top of the brand’s EV line-up.
Positioned as the electric counterpart to the Kodiaq, the Peaq is Skoda’s largest SUV to date and offers a claimed driving range of more than 630km in its longest-range form.
The Peaq is the second model to adopt Skoda’s Modern Solid design language and introduces a range of new technologies for the Czech brand.
Measuring 4,874mm long and riding on a 2,965mm wheelbase, the SUV offers seating for up to seven occupants. Luggage capacity is rated at 299 litres with all seats in use, expanding to 935 litres with the third row folded. A 37-litre front trunk provides additional storage.
Inside, the cabin features a 13.6-inch portrait infotainment screen, vegan upholstery options and a panoramic glass roof with electronically adjustable shading. Physical controls have been retained for key functions including climate control and audio settings.
An optional Relax Package adds massage seats, ergonomic leg rests, a 755W Sonos sound system and a dedicated wellbeing application.
The Peaq also introduces a number of Skoda firsts, including flush-fitting door handles, wireless smartphone charging with magnetic alignment, integrated windscreen washer nozzles and a new-generation heat pump.

Three powertrain variants will be offered.
The entry-level Peaq 60 combines a 63kWh battery with a 150kW rear-mounted motor, delivering up to 440km of range. Skoda claims a 0-100km/h time of 8.6 seconds and DC fast charging from 10% to 80% in 27 minutes.
Above it sits the Peaq 90, which uses a 91kWh battery pack and a 210kW rear electric motor. Range is claimed at more than 630km, while the sprint to 100km/h takes 7.1 seconds.
The range-topping Peaq 90x adds dual-motor all-wheel drive and produces 220kW. It can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 6.7 seconds while still delivering up to 605km of range. Both 91kWh variants can charge from 10% to 80% in 28 minutes.
Vehicle-to-load (V2L), vehicle-to-home (V2H) and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) capability are included, while towing capacity is rated at up to 2,000kg for all-wheel-drive versions.
Other features include one-pedal driving, an upgraded Travel Assist 3.0 driver assistance system capable of recognising traffic lights, and a suite of safety technologies including 10 airbags.
A Sportline variant will also be offered, featuring gloss black exterior trim, sports seats and model-specific interior finishes.
Skoda New Zealand says it is too early to confirm local availability.
“This will be launched in Europe, then we will start having conversations about this when the model is released to the rest of the world,” the company says.
