Geely posts record overseas sales in first half of 2026
Geely Auto has reported record overseas growth in the first half of 2026, with international sales more than doubling and monthly exports surpassing 100,000 vehicles for the first time.
The company sold 1,422,958 vehicles globally between January and June, including 474,228 overseas deliveries, up 158% year on year. Overseas sales during the first six months of the year also exceeded Geely Auto’s total international sales for the whole of 2025.
New energy vehicles (NEVs) accounted for 277,189 overseas sales during the period, an increase of 585% on a year earlier and representing 59% of the company’s international volume.
Geely Auto says June was a record month for its overseas business, with exports exceeding 100,000 vehicles for the first time.
The company attributed the result to the continued rollout of its “One Geely” strategy, with its Geely, Lynk & Co and Zeekr brands expanding across international markets.
The Geely brand entered seven European markets during the first half of the year, including Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and France, while the Geely EX5 and Starray EM-i are now available in more than 20 European countries.
Geely says it also expanded its dealer network through new partnerships in Portugal, Austria and Switzerland, while Brazil emerged as a key market for the EX2.
The Geely EX5 and the Geely Starray EM-i are currently the best-selling Geely models in New Zealand. In Australia, the company says the Starray EM-i was the country’s best-selling plug-in hybrid SUV in May.
Lynk & Co continued its international expansion with the launch of the flagship Lynk & Co 900 in the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Qatar and Vietnam, while the Lynk & Co 08 entered Kazakhstan and became the best-selling D-segment plug-in hybrid in Vietnam and Mexico.
Meanwhile, Zeekr surpassed 800,000 cumulative global deliveries during the first half of the year. The brand also led Hong Kong’s luxury vehicle market during the first five months of 2026 with a 40.7% market share, while the Zeekr 7X topped the luxury SUV segment in Hong Kong and Mexico, and the Zeekr 009 became Thailand’s best-selling electric MPV.
Supporting its international expansion, Geely Auto says it has grown its global parts distribution network to 13 facilities and continued local manufacturing programmes in Brazil and Indonesia. The company now operates more than 2,000 sales and service outlets across more than 100 markets.
