Electric vehicles proving popular

Vector’s electric vehicles are proving to be immensely popular with staff.
Since Vector purchased the EV fleet vehicles in September, the cars have been fully booked out every day.
Staff say it’s because they are quiet, efficient and very ‘peppy’ to drive.
Others say that they prefer driving the EV’s because “it’s a greener choice and every bit helps the planet.”
Vector’s chief executive Simon Mackenzie says he is very pleased with the quick acceptance of the EV’s at Vector and explains it’s an important part of the company’s strategic direction.
“It’s about encouraging clean energy innovation, growing the marketplace for electric drive technologies and positioning our country — and our customers — to take full advantage of the incredible opportunity that electrification represents,” he says. “It’s all about customer choice.
“Advancing plug-in electric vehicles and technologies is an industry priority, and we are proud of our initiative to encourage EV adoption among our employees,” says Mackenzie.
