A new charge card is now all that is needed for BMWi owners to access New Zealand’s largest network of charging stations.

BMW’s ChargeNow network is operated by Charge Net NZ, providing customers more than 100 DC charging stations between Kaitaia and Invercargill.

It will allow BMW’s electric vehicle (EV) drivers the ability to fast-charge their cars at stations with the ChargeNow card, which effectively operates as a debit card.

Charging at a DC station takes around 30 minutes to reach 80 per cent capacity.

BMW Group New Zealand managing director Florian Renndorfer says ChargeNow offers its EV customers a “convenient and extensive charging network”.

ChargeNow operates on a subscription basis, with customers able to create and manage their account via an internet portal, chargenow.co.nz
