Enthusiastic Timaru EV owners to show off cars
Keen electric vehicle (EV) owners from Timaru are looking to promote the technology at an event this Sunday.
Event organiser Martin Kane says initially local EV owners were going to use it as a reason to get together, but then decided to take it one step further.

“We thought we could go one step further and invite people along to ask questions – because people usually have questions,” he told Stuff.co.nz

Kane says he bought a 2012 Nissan Leaf more than a year ago and now the family is upgrading their second car to an EV as well.
The event will be at Caroline Bay car park from 3pm on Sunday, February 5.
Information about EVs will be available, along with the chance to test drive an EV.
